Who are Manchester Brick & Precast?

Manchester Brick & Precast Ltd is the new name for Manchester Brick Services. It is the largest independently owned brick cutting company in the UK. In order to reflect the changes in direction, aquistion of new premises and to better reflect the type of products that we produce the name was changed mid 2002.

Always eager to respond to customer needs and consistently pushing the boundaries of technology the company has remained at the forefront of supplying architectural features to a wide variety of projects including many prestigious contracts such as the Merrill Lynch headquarters in London, The Trafford Centre in Manchester and Procession House in London, to name a few.

The new name better reflects the amount of precast products that we supply throughout the country. From very small arches in all shapes and sizes to precast panels finished in a variety of materials, you can rely on us to produce a Quality Product that surpasses anything else.

Brick & Block Cutting Despite the name change it will not affect out traditional markets. We will continue to cut and bond, bricks and blocks and other construction materials alongside our range of precast products. In fact we still have unrivalled capacity for the bulk cutting of materials. Our aim is to combine these traditional products (for which we have BBA certificates), with our precast solutions in order to achieve a complete architectural construction package for our customers.

Our love of technology in order to achieve customer satisfaction has led us to develop an in house computer program, which enables us to produce a quotation, CAD drawings and a 3D model (all sent by e-mail) for customer approval within minutes of receiving your enquiry. Having access to the internet means that we can e-mail solutions direct to those involved in the project and thus speed up communication, reducing delays on site. Alongside this facility we can arrange structural calculations for a whole range of precast arches and brick faced panels for your projects structural engineer to check.

Manchester Brick & Precast are the only brick and block cutting service in the UK to offer BBA approved products and to be registered to ISO9002 quality standard. Our service is nationwide via a network of hauliers with experience of transporting our specialised products.

Head Office is situated just off the M60 at Stockport and has an enclosed yard suitable for the storing of bricks and other construction materials. Our newly aquired premises in Stoke are dedicated to the production of larger precast panels and arches weighing up to 12 tons. All work is carried out at our factory, which means we can control the whole process and ensure that quality is maintained.

We work with combinations of brick, block, stone, granite, marble, tile, stainless steel and concrete. This enables the architect and client to achieve their ultimate goal.

The demise of brick laying skills, fast track, build programs and the purchasing of goods on a just in time basis, have all lead to an increase in demand for our products. This is also partly due to our expansion into new products as customers continue to come to us for a solution to their design problems (We pioneered the use of water jet cutting for the construction industry to produce logos and murals). Architects have also enjoyed the benefits of using our services with Manchester Brick & Precast providing detailed CAD drawings and structural calculations to site.
