All the brickwork was detailed around the arches and the necessary cut bricks were delivered as kits containing pieces numbered and referenced to a unit drawing for each precast element.

All of the brick faced units were factory pointed in SCC's yard. Some of the units weighed up to 9 tons and special frames were used to transport them to site.

There were 3 different panel combinations. Two different single arch units and the double arch unit shown in the picture opposite.

Inside the canopies the fair faced concrete was painted. The soffit depth of 327mm was fully faced with brickwork.

Manchester Brick & Precast also supplied over 400,000 cut bricks, blocks and paviors to various contractors involved in the construction of this massive out of town retail development.
