84 No. Traditional segmental and flat gauged arches were manufactured as structural brick faced precast concrete units. All red arches were cut from red rubber material. 3mm Joints were pre-pointed with a white cementitious grout to match lime putty. The face of the bricks were rubbed to match a traditionally built rubber arch. The picture on the left shows a close up of one of the red rubbed segmental arches with a face height of 290mm, with a rise of 75mm and faced on soffit by 102.5mm Yellow stock bricks were used for flat gauged arches on the side and rear elevation. Again these were supplied fully finished pre-pointed with 3mm joints. The picture below shows the rear of the building, where a 6mtr wide flat gauged arch with a face height of 1mtr was built traditionally on a stainless steel shelf angle. |
